BESALÚ

Besalú, a wonderful medieval village in La Garrotxa, has become one of the must-see tourist destinations of Girona. It is part of the network of  the Jewish lair in Spain.

Travel through history crossing the majestic bridge over the River Fluvià to enter the old fortress where we can visit the monastery of Sant Pere, the church of Sant Vicenç or the House Cornellà. We can also tour the Jewish lair and the Micvé or chamber to practice ritual baths.

The historic center invites you to walk through its steep streets, enter its historic buildings, taste the products of the area (sausages, ratafia, sweets), visit small businesses of local crafts or go down to the river to contemplate the Romanesque bridge, from another perspective, and local orchards.
